Travel. Explore. Learn.
Ever since I was a child I am fond of exploring places I haven’t been to. Perhaps, it all started when I was 2 years old, as I previously mentioned in my “About the author page” I was born in Paniqui, Tarlac. We usually visit my grandparent’s place in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon in Mindanao for a vacation. It was only at the age of 6 when my parents decided to settle down in Bukidnon, which happened to be the birthplace of our Filipino Boxing Champion, Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao. What a coincidence! We have common denominators, same name and place of origin.
I can vividly recall my childhood years. My mother placed a lot of trust in me that I can freely go to places wherever I want and do things whatever I want. I can hardly remember of an instance where she scolded me because I went home late maybe because I also did great with my studies. Spending the entire day with my cousins and playmates were my routine every day after school and during the weekends. Long before iPad, Xbox, and PSP bombarded us with visually stunning games, we were just simple kids playing traditional games, exploring places and enjoying a lot of adventurous activities like swimming to nearby rivers, catching fishes, harvesting fruits that were not ours like guavas, pineapples, mangoes, star apples to name a few. It was an experience that I can proudly share to my children’s children. It only proves that my adventurous personality today can be traced back in my childhood years.
Today, I still uphold that excitement of going into different places and doing things out of the box, the same euphoria I felt when I was a child. I strategically chose to land a job here in Metro Manila after graduating from college in Cagayan de Oro City because not only it is the economic capital of the country but it is also a perfect starting point of my future local and international travels and adventures. This blog will document all of the amazing things happening in my life and I hope it will inspire you to enjoy life to the fullest and at the same time to be the best person you can be in whatever field of endeavor you are right now.
